Happy Valentine's Day to all my lovely members. I hope you all have a fabulous day, spoil your loved ones and get spoilt back in return. Be sure to be generous, gentlemanly and romantic. And whatever you do, remember to pay for it all! I dug out this set of pictures from my 2019 calendar shoot, made in a luxury villa in Cyprus. My assistants were up and beavering away whilst I was attending to my makeup. They carefully picked dozens of rose petals and laid them out into this Lycia sized heart on the tiles. As you can see, we took a lot of pics! Why so many? Well for a calendar picture you want the very best image from a batch and the time is in the setting up and styling and theme and costume / outfit changes etc. Once a set is prepared, taking a few hundred pictures does not really need more time than taking (say) 20-30 pictures. It is only a few extra clicks and a bit more posing from me. I wanted a clothed one and a totally naked one and I needed lots of different faces to chose from. We managed that. My photographer was standing on a kitchen stool, trying not to fall on top of me. He's a heavy sod so it would have seriously ruined my trip, possibly even knocked me out. It would also have wrecked the flower display. Thankfully it did not happen and we ended up with lots of spare pictures.
